About Andrea -Biography

Andrea Mills grew up in Melbourne, FL as the youngest of six children. After teaching elementary school in Melbourne, Andrea moved to Atlanta where she works for BellSouth Telecommunications. Andrea is a Poet, Motivational Speaker, Author, and Singer and spends most of her time promoting her books through motivational speaking and poetry recitals at conferences, conventions, community programs, and workshops.

After experiencing great success with her first two books of poetry, "Inspirational Love" and "Visions of Love, " Andrea recently completed her third book titled "Poetry for the Soul."

Andrea is featured weekly on V-103's Quiet Storm with Joyce Littel. She also completed a major television project for The HistoryMakers and was honored to share the stage with Nikki Giovanni and Pearl Cleage.

Andrea has an MBA from Brenau University, Gainesville/Atlanta, a BA from Bethune-Cookman College, Daytona Beach, FL, and an AA from the Art Institute of Atlanta, Atlanta, GA.

Andrea wanted to offer poetry to the world and decided to take her dream into her own hands and make something happen. After creating Poetic Writes, a publishing and editing company, she was able to self-publish her own work.
